The grange cattery

Vaccination Requirements

IT IS STRICT POLICY THAT ONLY FULLY VACCINATED CATS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR BOARDING AT THE GRANGE CATTERY. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CAT IS FULLY VACCINATED WITH UP-TO-DATE ANNUAL BOOSTERS AGAINST CAT FLU AND ENTERITIS
When bringing your cat to board at the cattery you will be required to produce your cat’s up-to-date veterinary vaccination card to be seen prior to acceptance into the cattery for boarding. If you do not bring your card as proof we will not be able to accept your cat for boarding.

If your cat has never been vaccinated or the annual booster is out of date and the cat needs to have a full course again to be covered – it will take a period of 5 weeks from the administering of the first required injection to when your cat is safe to board
To avoid problems it is advisable to contact your Veterinary Practice for full details

Flea & Worm Treatment

It is also appreciated that owners ensure their cat is regularly treated against fleas and worms (for fleas usually every month for home treatments or 6 monthly for veterinary treatments, and every 3 to 6 months for worm treatments). On occasion we may find cats with these problems, which we will treat and recover the costs from the owner.

Please note that although your cat may not go outside and you may think it unnecessary to protect your cat there is the possibility of another cat boarding that may be carrying, and whilst we do our utmost to avoid this, if your cat is not protected it may well pick something up. Please remember – regularly treated cats do not have a problem!
